What does ‘fully vitrified’ mean?

Vitrified crockery has a hardened glaze that makes it scratch resistant, generally stronger than standard crockery and less pervious to liquid – preventing the staining heavy sauces and richer dishes can leave on your plates. This makes fully vitrified crockery ideal for busy commercial environments, where a constant stream of customers can quickly take its toll on your dishes.

Why choose a wide rim plate?

There’s two benefits to a wide rim: firstly, it frames your dishes, helping to`tie them together – i.e. making them look a little neater. This is especially useful for looser dishes like pastas and curries. Secondly, a wide rim prevents the diner from pushing food off the edge of the plate.
